Refund Policy

This Policy forms an integral part of, and should be read in conjunction with, the Ruumz General Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of Paid Services

Payments within the Ruumz App are currently limited to the Boost Service, which allows Hosts to increase the visibility of their Ruum on the map and within the app's discovery results. The following Boost options are available:

The Boost Service is activated immediately upon successful payment and is considered a digital service that is consumed upon use.

2. No-Refund Policy (Default Rule)

All payments are final and non-refundable as a general rule, for the following reasons:

  • Boost service is consumed immediately upon activation (enhanced visibility begins instantly).
  • Time Extension service is consumed at the very moment of activation.
  • The Company has no control over user responsiveness to, or interest in, a given Ruum.

3. Accepted Exceptions

By way of exception, partial or full refund requests will be accepted exclusively in the following cases:

  • Technical error by the App: if the Boost or Extension service was not actually activated due to a system malfunction (evidenced by system logs).
  • Duplicate billing: if the same payment was charged more than once for the same order due to a technical error.
  • Service termination by the Company: if the Company fully shuts down the App, all unused balances will be fully refunded.
  • Wrongful account ban: if, following review, it is established that the account was closed in error without legitimate grounds.

4. Refund Request Procedure

To submit a qualifying refund request:

  • Send an email to billingsandrefunds@ruumz.co within 7 days of the transaction date.
  • Include in your request: the transaction number, date, purchased service, and a detailed description of the issue.
  • Attach screenshots or any supporting evidence demonstrating the error.
  • Requests will be processed within 10 business days.
  • If you disagree with the decision, you may escalate your complaint to legal@ruumz.co.

5. Refund Mechanism

  • Refunds are issued to the same payment method used in the original purchase.
  • Processing may take 5 to 14 business days depending on the bank's or payment platform's policies.
  • If return to the original payment method is not possible, an equivalent credit will be added to your in-app digital wallet.

6. Payment Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider, you must first contact us at billingsandrefunds@ruumz.co and allow 10 days for resolution. Unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension.

7. App Store Payments

If a purchase was made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the transaction is subject to that store's refund policy, which will prevail in the event of any conflict with our policy.
